Royal Enfield Himalayan launch in New Delhi

Royal Enfield Himalayan is just launched in India which is priced at 1.73 lakh Ex-showroom in

New Delhi. The actual cost of bike is about 1.55 lakh; which comes with 400cc engine, single

cylinder air cooled four stroke engine. The model of this bike is quite inspired from

Thunderbird and Continental GT model. It has modified single chasis, new sub frame, high

mounted spatter guard, off road tyres and also with large windshield, swing monoshock

suspension unit, front splash guard, disc break at either side. It is first Royal Enfield model to

feature rear monoshock suspension.

Design of this bike is quite adventurous, it has raised rear seat, round rear view mirrors,

digital MID and blackened engine and chasis pipes. Dimensions of this bike are 2,190 mm in

length, 840 mm in width and 1,360 mm in height. It weighs about 182 kg, with 15 litre fuel

tank , 300 mm disc brake with 2 piston floating calliper and comes with two colour option-

Granite and Snow. Average of Himalayan is between 40-45 Kmpl. Maximum power output is

24.5 bhp @6,500rpm and torque is 32Nm @4,000rpm.Power is delivered to rear wheel

through chain drive 5-speed gearbox. It comes with optional accessory racks, bags on both

side, hard case panniers, riding gears etc.
